Arab Women Investors Union

From the beginning of the second millennium, Dr. Hoda Galal Yassa, founder and president of the Arab Women Investors Union, sought to consolidate the bonds of Arab relations by activating the business community and investors' role in the Arab world and Africa. Through the issuance of Resolution No. 1272; and from that date, the Arab Women Investors Union became an Arab organization working within the framework of the Arab League and under its umbrella. The Arab Women Investors Union aims to enhance the role of Arab women and activate their role in encouraging investment, developing economic relations between Arab countries and enriching the economic and social role for the advancement of women and society.
The AWIU includes 20 Arab countries, following the mechanism of specialized committees, as the union includes 33 committees. The Businessmen Committee was established in 2015 and the Arab-African Youth Committee in 2016, with the aim of promoting joint Arab action and comprehensive development with its two wings, Economic development and Social responsibility by adopting an international cooperation strategy

Goals & Mission

i) Encouraging Arab investors to set up joint Arab projects with foreign partnerships in order to benefit from the latest global technology.

ii) Work to encourage investment within the Arab world and strive to attract Arab and foreign capital.

iii) Supporting joint Arab cooperation through the Arab League and other civil society institutions.

iv) Coordination between members of the investment companies and financing entities in the Arab countries as well as participating in relevant meetings held by the Arab League, Arab regional and international organizations, federations, and entities.

v) Creating a 360 database to help increase the investment opportunities available to the members of the Arab Women Investors Union.

vi) Highlighting and incorporating the business community role in the economical sustainability, nationally and internationally.

vii) Integrating Arab businesspeople and investors through highlighting their role in promoting joint Arab action.

viii) Continuous pursuit of peace and stability on the social and economical level for the Arab region.
