The Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations (FAO) in collaboration with the Arab Women Investors Union (AWIU) and the industrial investors Guild Suez line channel today launched a Regional competition for an “Aquaponics design”. The competition aims to raise awareness on the use of new and innovative technologies for food production that would increase families’ income in Egypt and the region.

Eng. Tarek Kabil, Minister of Trade and Industry, met with Hoda Yassa, Head of Arab Women Investors Union, in order to discuss the ways of support the Ministry could offer for the Union during the upcoming stage, especially in the light of the growing role of Arab women in bolstering the Arab investment and economic system.

“The Iron Lady” is the title that has been given to the Egyptian multimillionaire businesswoman, Hoda Galal Yassa, who is in her late fifties, by those who know her. The point of departure of her ground-breaking success was her work in petrochemical industries before initiating her ventures in various industrial and business sectors.
