Ambassador Dr. Badr Abdel Aty, Egyptian Ambassador to Belgium and Egypt’s representative to the European Union and NATO, received at the embassy headquarters in Belgium Dr. Hoda Yassa, President of the Arab Women Investors Union, during her current visit and the delegation accompanying her, to attend the activities of the African Businesswomen’s Forum.

In cooperation with the African Chamber of Commerce in the Benelux in Luxembourg – Belgium the meeting was attended by the Secretary General of the Arab Women Investors Union, Dr. Maha Al-Taher

and Ms. Mireille De Groote, representative of the Arab Women Investors Union in Belgium.

And Dr. Hoda Yassa, the Union’s plan during the coming period and ways of cooperation in all sectors, especially the tourism and training sectors.

It also presented forms of cooperation between Belgian universities for hotel and hospital management

Dr. Hoda Yassa discussed with Ambassador Badr Abdel-Aty, ways of trade exchange, establishing joint investment projects, opening markets for Egyptian products in the Belgian market, and discussing tripartite cooperation mechanisms between Belgium and Arab and African countries.

Dr. Hoda offered, activities of the Union Conference, Arab-African Investment and International Cooperation, Youth are the focus of development opportunities and challenges in its 26th  edition, in Sharm El-Sheikh during the period from October 30th to November 3rd, 2023, with high-level participation from Arab, African and foreign countries.

She also shed light on the “For You, My Country” initiative, which aims to activate medical tourism and religious shrines in Egypt and Jordan Egypt’s ambassador to Belgium affirmed his support for the conference and its importance in strengthening economic, commercial and investment cooperation with Arab countries and the African continent.

On the other hand, Dr. Hoda Yassa also met with Mr. Caesar Hejazin, Secretary-General of the Arab-Belgian-Luxembourg Chamber, and ways of joint cooperation between the Arab Women Investors Union and the Chamber were discussed, and the objectives and themes of the Union’s conference in Sharm El-Sheikh were discussed, with the aim of increasing joint trade movement.
