Dr. Hoda Yassa, President of the Arab Women Investors Union and the Businesswomen’s Association for Development.

Dr. Hoda Yassa, President of the Arab Women Investors Union and the Businesswomen’s Association for Development, signed a cooperation protocol with the Coptic Evangelical Organization for Social Services and the Local Development Unit, and it was signed by Margaret Sarofim, Head of the Development Sector of the Coptic Evangelical Organization for Social Services, at the Union’s headquarters in Cairo.

The signing of the protocol came during the reception of the Arab Women Investors Union, a delegation from the development sector of the Coptic Evangelical Organization for Social Services for cooperation in many developmental fields.

While praising Dr. Hoda Yassa, in the role of the Evangelical Authority in serving the Egyptian community, noting that the joint cooperation protocol aims to support entrepreneurial ideas and entrepreneurs, especially women, to provide them with the skills and experience necessary to operate and manage their projects and support small and medium enterprises.

Dr. Hoda Yassa, added, that through the joint protocol, cooperation is taking place in the “For You, My Country” initiative, which includes economic empowerment, job opportunities and employment training.

 

She pointed to cooperation in implementing a development model in one of the regions in Qalyubia Governorate, and its inputs are designed by agreement between the two parties in order to achieve the best return for the neediest families.

In addition to holding exhibitions for handicrafts to display handmade products, opening and providing marketing opportunities for them, and supporting the exchange of experiences, especially for women craftsmen and university students, between Egypt and African countries, to strengthen the bonds of communication and acquaintance, transfer expertise and skills, and qualify them to keep pace with development, consolidate the spirit of belonging among university students, and train for employment and empowerment of women economically, especially the female breadwinner.

Margaret Sarofim and her accompanying delegation praised the role of the Arab Women Investors Union and the association in social responsibility and sustainable development.

She gave a presentation on the activity of the development sector in the Authority with its various units and participation in the presidential initiatives in the various governorates, including the Decent Life initiative, as a whole without discrimination, and work to affirm the value of human life and improve its quality, especially in the neediest rural and urban communities.

She stressed that working on exchanging experiences with the Arab Women Investment Union and the African countries is very important, as well as cooperation and participation in the fields of development.

Ms. Margaret indicated that the cooperation protocol also includes holding workshops and training programs based on benefiting from the experiences of both parties.

The protocol also includes providing job opportunities, especially for people with disabilities, to enhance their integration into society, in order to support the national economy and reduce unemployment, which helps to confront illegal immigration and reduce extremism and terrorism.

In addition to the interest in promoting digital transformation to support building digital Egypt to achieve financial inclusion, organizing drug detection campaigns among factory workers, and spreading awareness of the culture of self-employment and entrepreneurship.
